Hype ain’t gonna be the man. Too many of

the same issues over and over. He had made us better, but I think we hit his ceiling last year by getting lucky with hooker and some inherited players.
Was afraid we would take a step back but tonight was just a complete disaster and we were not ready to play in the first half, at all.

Hype was scared of losing the team by replacing Milton with Sam Hartman. And after the SC debacle last year, it was a legitimate concern.

A coach should NEVER be afraid to make his team better

I agree AW. Hype missed on Hartman. I was just speaking to the predicament Hype was in and the culture around him. Hype was good enough a coach to beat SC that night. The players mailed it that night b/c of a dispute. And got their all world QB hurt in the process. It's too bad the players flunked a magical season. We all know those seasons do not come along often. If you do not take advantage of them when they present themselves, they come by much less going forward. Beat SC and you are in the playoffs. Recruit Sam Hartman and you are back there again this year.

The over reaction on this board is hilarious. I have sent several buddies to OM to read the nonsense and the laughter is real.

Come on, Inspector...you know better than that.
It's TIME. The Vols are back.

No I don't, but I'm still hopeful. I want him to be the guy, but that doesn't mean he will be and I've been around long enough to know the difference between wishful thinking and reality.
