Joe’s issues when he was the starter was throwing the ball 55 yds when he only needed to throw it 40 yds to a WR who was 5 yds clear of the defender

It seemed to me that most of these overthrows were where the wideout was vertical....running away from The Toaster. I suspected he had a depth perception issue, as slant, outs, etc he would be on the money. At any rate, judging from Orange Bowl and O & W game....he seems to have that under control. And if that's the case, he's going to rip some asses this fall. Hell, even if he throws one out of ten in stands....he'll kill it........

He needs to pull a Burt Reynolds and hit a free rusher in the nuts with a missile lol. That would slow the rush down lol.

Hence, the reason he's thought of as a QB with no touch. I was joking with my previous post, but I do think his touch issue, however you want to describe it, has been corrected for the most part. I think he'll still get excited from time to time and let her rip, but I expect the biggest potential for drop off will be situational awareness. The biggest benefits uptempo football is only realized if your QB is able to take advantage. Hendon was a very smart QB. I'm not implying Joe cannot be good, I'm just recognizing that Hendon was exceptional.

I think Joe can have a really good season. 3rd down conversions will be an important indicator for him.
