1971 MLB All Star Game-An All Star Game to Remember

Still to this day, this is the best All Star game I have seen:

Amazing player and do you notice how a player back in the day would run the bases after a homer? Nowadays it is like taking a victory lap and takes 60 seconds to run them all.

Also…10 hits in a doubleheader earlier that season - awesome!

Yep...if you showboated back then you'd get one in the shoulder blades next at bat.

My favorite All Star game as well! That home run by Reggie was incredible! Seems like the All Star games were more special back then.
