Default 2 Questions about the SEC Media Days

1. In this day of instant communications via the Internet, do we really need a Media Days? Have we ever learned anything new at one of these?

2. If we are going to have one , then lets move it out of a shopping mall in Hoover Alabama. How can you call yourself big league when you are hq'ed in Alabama.

Every other major conference either has it's media days in a real city(LA, Chicago, Kansas City) or a posh resort(Reynolds Plantation, Newport, R.I.)

Besides the indignity of having ours in a shopping mall, we also have to put up with every fat, white trash, redneck Alabama fan showing their ass on National TV.

I agree. Move it to Atlanta or Nashville. The Winfrey Hotel/Galleria mall is cheesy.

You can't capture the subtleties of a buffoon HC being served a subpoena when he arrives then promptly saying he didn't know it was a subpoena when being interviewed shortly thereafter unless it's in-person.

I swear that phat SOB is the Marion Barry of college football. He could be caught in a hot tub with Lacy Earps and a vat of scrambled eggs and 20 dozen hot-n-readys at the Days Inn and they'd find a way to promote him to associate Jesus.

River, a truly creative post. There will be nothing new in this year's SEC media days. Can this crap and don't force any of these coaches or players to spend any more time than they have to in Alabama. I can learn more about the 2009 season by reading a Phil Steele or Athlon pre-season rag than I could by reading everything discussed in these meetings.

Another example of the mediocrity of our boy, Mike Slive.
