RIP to a great Vol....
...to play golf in a tournament with Andy several years ago. He had great stories to tell and was a really nice guy.
RIP.
andy kozar played on the first vol team that i remember much about. the national championship team of 1951. the game at the end of the season against vandy taught me how really poor at math vandy fans are. andy played single wing fullback. toward the end of the game we had the ball on vandy's goal line. andy was sent up the middle with vandy stacked against such a play. andy scored. vandy fans cried foul. claimed andy never got in the end zone. said we stole the game. the final score was 35-27. i tried to explain to the vandy fans that even if andy had not scored we would have won 28-27. they could not understand this at all. would not believe that 28 was more than 27. they haven't improved over the yrs. they still seem thrilled with every close loss against us.
true long term UT fans. The other attention whore "look at me mommy" posts by the usual "how high can I get my post count up" scholars are noticably absent as they cannot find an argument to argue versus simply recognizing a great Vol.
Thank you Dr. Kozar.
Sad Sad news.. I went to church and school with his kids, AJ and Amy and my prayers and thoughts go out to them...
