Unique, Weird, Unusual, and Cool Things that You Have Witnessed on a Golf Course

I played at Laurel Valley this past weekend and saw a bear running across the 18th and 5th fairways as I was getting ready to tee off on number 5. What are the unusual, weird, unique, cool things, etc. that you have seen on a golf course?

The guy that got help up at the golf course in Memphis in the early 90's. He shot him and it hit the titleist he had in his pocket square and it caused no injury. Course I wasnt there.

One of my friends saw a golf ball stick on a barbed wire fence that was hit by his foursome.

Crows and dogs moving balls in the fairway. I guess that is mndane compared to Bears.

I got a birdie on the last hole I played. Now that was unusual.

Now that you mention, I had a dog pick up my ball out of a ditch once and drop in the middle of the fairway. I am not sure of the proper rule but I just played the ball where the dog dropped it.

The elusive birdie is pretty rare in my experience as well.

Just an hour ago, my girlfriend hand-fed a deer a cheese cracker. I still can't believe it walked up to our cart.

Central Florida. The deer on this course will graze 20 ft from the cart paths, and not even flinch when you drive by....but I didn't think you could call one over like a cat and handfeed it.

Sounds like deer are almost domesticated down there. The deer eating the cheese cracker must have been a cool thing to witness.

I would've taken that dog home, and brought him out on any future golf outings.

There was a fox that walked down the fairway behind me at Eagles Bluff in Chat. Got fairly close, made me very uneasy.

I have 2 other guys that can verify......it was 1973 and we were playing a golf course in Nashville...we were getting ready to tee off on this hole...the tee was about 50 feet above the fairway and there was this road that ran along behind the tee a good 30-40 feet below the tee box along the Cumberland River....the car had just stopped in a roadside parking area with a guy and girl inside...the man layed the girl on the seat, pulled off her pants and pantys and gave her the royal tongue lashing....needless to say our golf game was pretty much shot to hell......

Seen tons of animals, but probably the most unusual was the peacock or ostrich (big damn bird, cannot remember which) that attacked us one time at one of the Disneyworld courses. The thing was following the cart girl around, we got a couple of hotdogs and then it decided it wanted our hotdogs. Big bird, scary- we kept the beer and let the bird have the food.
