Eh. Everybody thanks somebody right. There's been more rips and ripoffs in musical history than patent infringement.

T-Bone as in T-Bone Walker didn't rip of a soul. Most guitar slingers worth a damn give T-Bone his credit. Chuck Berry (a walking talking POS) doesn't.
Bobby "See ya later Alligator" Charles knows a thing or two about rock & roll says Fats is solid - his songs are the standards of what is referred to as rock and roll.
Adding to that - Muddy, the Wolf and the rest of the cats who plugged in and recorded at Chess records hung the moon..

Tx. You are just hostile and fired up today. Please see my post I just sent to you in General Khan. I don't know what I've done to upset you. But please allow me to have my opinions as I'm allowing you to have yours.

By the way Tex, the old jazz and blues greats are some of my favorite musicians of all times. Muddy Waters, Bobby Blue Bland, Robert Johnson, Fats. I don't claim that all of these folks didn't have great influence over music. I also would never say Chuck Berry was a piece of shit. He had an entire package of things going for him and he worked hard. I admire his trials and tribulations. If that makes me a fuckwad with bad musical taste I probably wouldn't disagree with you. I am a fuckwad. Without a doubt.

Chuck is a POS - great entertainer - but a POS - treated band mates like crap - the same applies to fans.. FWIW - I've always admired the St. Louis bunch - with Ike Turner at the top of the list. Check out some T-Bone..
Anyway - as Hank Jr. says - it all comes back to the blues. Muddy and his pals headed north - plugged in and let it rip.
Fuckwad? Never. What I've always admired in musicians, of all stripes and styles, are the ones who never, ever fail to give credit to those they learned from. Local legend Lil' Stevie Vaughan is a perfect example. As good as he was, and its a very small list of pickers that rivaled his licks, his eyes got as big as basketballs when he had the opportunity to play with the legends. seein' him on stage with John Lee Hooker (ask the guys in ZZ Top where they got their sound) and the master of the telecaster Albert Collins was mighty special - he just followed their lead.
Or my pal livin' with Son House - and carryin' on that tradition.
or the guys in Beausoleil who never fail to mention Dennis McGee, the Ardoins, Canray & Freeman Fontenot every time they play..

Honestly I don't mean to be rude, but where do you get off? Did my avatar offend you or something? Do I need you to tell me that John Lee Hooker was a great musician who inspired others? I highly doubt it. I also don't need you to tell me that some musicians treat their fans and bandmates like crap. It kind of comes with the territory of artists. Most of the greats are eccentric and it manifests itself in different ways. I seriously don't know what is up your ass about me making one comment about Chuck Berry in the face of your proclamation that the Clash is the greatest and only band that ever mattered. But hey, if it makes you get off my back a bit I'll bite. You are right. I was wrong. Chuck Berry is a piece of shit.
You may consider my jets sufficiently cooled now, man. I have nothing else to say on this topic.

you missed the Clash, back in the day and how the term "the only band that matters" originated. As to any proclamation - take another read of the post..
Kinda like the "king of pop", and other such titles various artists garner - ya dig it....
