I got to watch him up close in Atlanta the year he won the first Fed Ex Cup. Half of his first round was rained out and they played it on Friday morning. There were just a few hundred who were following him and about the same amount following Phil. That was an incredible experience.

He's good, but how good? He's good enough to beat his competition, especially head to head, but why is he so successful?

I really think that there is so much money in the game today, that some don't have the desire to scratch and claw for the win. Second place in most tournaments will pay $500,000 plus.

I don't think money even comes into play with him, it's the win.

Make me wonder how he would have faired against the likes of Nicklaus, Palmer, Trevino, Balesteros, Hogan, Nelson, etc. Those guys, unlike the ones today were hungry for the win. We'll never know, but it could be a different ball game.

O'Hair gave one of the finest displays of choking that we have seen since Norman in one of the Masters tournaments.

When the best player that has ever played throws 2 birdies at you in the first three holes.

Just unreal that he sunk that last putt. He just does it over and over and over and over. He's without question the greatest clutch performer in any sport ever.

If you look at his scoring records, then you almost have to conclude that he would have been one of the dominant players of any era. He has the scoring record in all 4 majors.

I did not know that Jack Nicklaus was playing.
